Introduction


Jyothi Educational Society was established on the 7th day of March 1988, under societies registration Act 1860. Since then itself the society had been busily immersed in rendering Medical and Health services to the needy people. The society since its inception started extending its indelible services especially to the poverty stricken and down trodden slum dwellers. The main objective for establishing the society is to extend Medical and Health services to those who are in need and to rehabilitate the Youth full women Jyothi Educational Society was formed in 1988 under the Societies Registration act 1860.  The Organization was established with a significant Motto to help people in need to help themselves.  Since its inception the organization has been endeavoring towards the uplift of urban and Rural slum dwellers, poverty stricken and down trodden people especially in the areas of Medical, Health and Education, Youth and Women welfare activities, literacy and Micro Credit, Rehabilitation for Disabled and other weaker sections and extending helpful hand irrespective of Caste, Race, Color and Sex. By all means Jyothi Educational Society is a Non Profit Making Organization.

Goal

In recognition of the urgency to address the diverse care & support needs of families affected by AIDS in general and children affected by AIDS in specific, Jyothi Educational Society under took Home and Community based care and support in the villages of W.G.Dist.

Mission

Jyothi Educational Society is a health and developmental organization working for the poor and needy and to address stigma and discrimination and improve the quality of life. HIV/AIDS by empowering them so that they can line as dignified citizens of India and also to take up any other activity needed for the welfare of making and propagating the ‘Truth” that the world is one family and all human beings are brother & sisters

Objectives
1.To facilitate high quality and low cost health services
2.To facilitate and strengthen the communities in service delivery through referrals, linkages and advocacy with related stake holders, for enabling the PLWHA, in improving their quality of life.
3. To strengthen the PLWHA, CBO’s and Peer group as change agents
4. To capacitate the staff and volunteers for effective services delivery
5. To network with like minded NGO’s and CBO’s for policy lobby and advocacy
